JULY 26th - Article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Below is the link to the story.
From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in the Lifestyles section on Saturday July 26th, 2008

Hope you like the article, we thought it was very nice and I was glad they cut off most of my belly. The title in the paper was much nicer than the title online, but the article is the same.

Oh dear! The article made me cry! I have 5 month old twins that were born at 35 weeks- after I had 3.5 months on bedrest. I was in preterm labor at 23 and 28 weeks and was on tocolytics until 33 weeks. Mine was strict bedrest and I only went outside when we were going to the weekly doctors appointments. I thought bedrest was the hardest thing I would ever endure BUT I have to say that having my twins in the NICU for 30 days and recovering physically from 3.5 months of not moving- that was the hardest thing. I am happy to report that they are both thriving and as of now you would never suspect they were preemies! Best of luck to you!

Hey Jill,
I just wanted to say hi and hang in there, you look great and are doing wonderful. Hearing all of your stories of meds and steroids brings back bittersweet memories. But you've already made it farther than I did and you have two more babies in there. :) So keep up the good work it's definately worth the end result and they'll be running around kicking soccer balls before you know it.
Take care and hope to see ya soon,
Shauna (WCSF&R)

just read the article. very nice! praying for you and the quads! we, too, are a family with quads (GGGG) and a 4yo boy. i made it to 32w3d (they are now almost 5 months old!) you can make it!! you can! i know how difficult it is being in the hospital. it was for me and i was only in for a month before the girls were born.

here is our blog if you want to read up on how i/we did with quads...thecarlsonblog.blogspot.com. and feel free to contact us if you have any questions!

praying you can get a few more weeks out of ya! and then praying for an uneventful delivery and short nicu stay for the babies!
